From Coromandel NZ, this is the only place in the world where this type of Chrysanthemum Stone occurs. It is Spherulitic Rhyolite (created by cooling lava crystallised with spheres of radiating clusters of feldspars and quartz). It has lots of little Chrysanthemum type flowers exploding from the stone all over the place, hence every piece is unique and different. This stone is found in very few stores because of its rarity and difficulty to find.

Please note - there is a large percentage of imported chinese stock on our NZ marketplace (up to 80% of all jade you will see on shelves).
