Our greatest passion is Pounamu, however we also work Aotea, Rhodonite, Piedmontite Schist, Obsidian, Wood, Petrified Wood, Petrified Shell, Chrysanthemum Stone, Quartz, Carnelian, Agates, Serpentine, Dunite, and many others, as long as they come from Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Our work is inspired by nature and the beauty that surrounds us in the South West of Aotearoa.  Being close to Tangaroa (the ocean), is another source of inspiration to us.

Please note - there is a large percentage of imported chinese stock on our NZ marketplace (up to 80% of all jade you will see on shelves).  This stock is mass produced in China often using child labour.  Please be aware of this when purchasing products throughout NZ and ask where the product comes from.  If they cannot tell you the origin it is more than likely imported product.  Our philosophy is that if the stone is not from NZ we do not work it, and we also do not mass produce any items, as we believe this is not in keeping with the spirit of the stone and NZ.    All of our products come with a Certificate of Authenticity.  Support NZ artists and buy NZ Made.

SPECIAL NEW STOCK -

We have been lucky enough to source a new stone from Coromandel NZ to work, this is the only place in the world where this type of Chrysanthemum Stone occurs and we have had great fun working it.  It is Spherulitic Rhyolite (created by cooling lava crystallised with spheres of radiating clusters of feldspars and quartz). It has lots of little Chrysanthemum type flowers exploding from the stone all over the place, hence every peice is unique and differen. Check it out on our products page.
